Pretty cool, Cindy, that you got a reply from someone, even thought it was over a month later! Don't hold your breath for FORMICA. Consumer concern is not in their mission statement! Very briefly, we had a shoddily installed new FORMICA floor. We complained to the retailer, he blew us off to the distributor rep who filed a claim. FORMICA approved the claim in full. Within 30 days, the distributor and retailer have the settlement, but we were never notified by the distributor or the retailer that the claim was paid in full and we got no reimbursement. FORMICA's claims department washed their hands of us since the claim was settled. Everybody's happy but us, the consumer. FORMICA's "no cost to the consumer" warranty looks good, but don't try to use it! I even sent a certified letter to the president of FORMICA floors with no reply! Forget it, Cindy, someone at FORMICA knows how to make a nice product but no one at FORMICA cares about the consumer. Even if your claim was settled, you may never see it, since FORMICA does not enforce the "no cost to the customer" warranty!
