My Grandfather passed away and left my sister and I the townhome. We are trying to sell, however my Grandparents did nothing in the way of renovating or modernizing their home for 25 years. We face numerous problems, but the one we are dealing with today is the formica trim on the cabinets. The doors are some type of wood, but in sad shape, and we are planning to wash them with a color, however we are stumped on how to handle the formica on the actual cabinet. (Aparently my Grandmother replaced the doors about 10 years ago.) Replacing the cabinets is out of the question for us, as we are on a very limited budget. I have read all the postings I could find..(thus I am not typing in caps) and have seen ya'll dont recommend painting counter tops....but what about the cabinets? Will this be OK and if so....how do we go about doing this??? As always, any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.
