Barbara.........clean you cabinets with alcohol (methyl hydrate - available most anywhere that sells paint). Sand them with 220 grit sandpaper - and damp wipe. You don't want to scratch the surface - just dull the shine.

Apply one coat of Glidden Ultra-Hide Gripper (Use Purdy 3/8" White Dove covers for primer and paint). Let this dry for about 12 hours. Sand again with your 220 paper and damp wipe (or tack rag - again, available most anywhere that sells paint)

Apply two coats (sanding in between)of Glidden Ultra-Hide/Evermore/Ralph Lauren Semi-Gloss in your choice of color.

That should do it!
