As Gary said, you can pull up the staples by rocking the plyers on-end. By using the flat-tipped plyers I described, you get more of a surface to grab. For me, the standard, rounded-type plyers just weren't doing the job for me. Also, as you rock the staple out, if it doesn't come out on the first 'rock', get a new 'grip' of the staple and rock it again. This will work the staple out 1 rock at a time.
Also, I apologize to you a bit about pressing the Submit Follow Up button. I did read the header on the main Forum page and there is no reference about reloading the web page after a post/follow-up. It is, however, found in the HELP page. Again, my apologies. :)
