Actually, in this last Saturday's show, Bob (probably due to a ton of querries on how to keep the blown in cellulose insulation dry) described a good vapor barrier. He suggested applying a fiberglas fabric to the wall. The contractor did this by first applying a paint looking adhesive, then applied the fiberglas matt like wall paper, then applied another coat of the paint-like adhesive. Once dry, this surface is painted as normal. Ever heard of this as a vapor barrier, Fred? Do you like any other methods on an insulation retrofit like this?
