In reply to I would rent... by Jason on April 16th, 2002 10:20 PM [Go to top of thread]

Greetings again,

After I read my own post of last night, I thought I had better clear up a few things. (I sounded kind of rough)

Anyway, rent the movies for inspiration.

It would depend on the size of the stage, and nature of the dance numbers, in order to plan out what to build.

My 12 year old daughter was into dance up until last year, (thank goodness). Six classes a week and a recital for each of them.

A softball is much more affordable than a sixty dollar dancing poodle outfit (that my wife had to sew feathers onto).

I think the key to your set is keep it simple. A couple of wooden crates, a hitching post, watering trough in front of a painted back drop. Swinging saloon doors are a must!)

I would not build alot of wooden facades for a one night show.

Good luck and I apologize in advance, if I sounded gruff,

Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
