I only recommend pressure washing for remove the moss/mold/mildew; not as a permanent 'cure' every year ...

There are ways to inhibit the growth whether one uses environmental-friendly inhibitors or non-environmental-friendly ones. If the power washer is used as I suggest on pavers, there shouldn't be any damage. When I clean my deck, I use 1200psi. When I clean the vinyl siding, I use 800psi. And when I wash my car, I use 40-60psi. I guess if you use 1800psi on pavers or the like, you'll get damage. It doesn't take much to improve the air flow around the home/deck/patio. All you need is a breeze and a measureable amount of sun to keep things dry enough to prevent the growth. I guess if you want to live in a forest-type environment, you have 2 choices, eh?
