I am in the process of replacing some double panes. (I've hired a company to do the work.) Should replacement panes fit as the original ones, or is there a noticeable difference? The panes which they've begun to install seem to be too small, as about 1/4" of the seal is showing all the way around the window, and the pane does not fit nearly to the edge of the opening when trim is removed.
Also, should caulking cause a gap between trim and new pane? They're in the middle of this job, and I have a very sinking feeling...
thanks for any speedy responses! (As time is an issue, direct e-mail response would help as well as a posting...)
