Foamboard Insulation

I would insulate the basement wall with foamboard insulation. If you are tight on space then use 3/4 inch treated furring strips and 3/4 inch foam insulation. If you have more space, then thicker is better and move up to 1 1/2 inches. If you have more room, then build a stud wall with fiberglass insulation so you can easily run wiring through the wall.
