floors and removal

Posted by D. Martin on September 20th, 1999 08:06 PM

we have a 15 year old house with original sheet vinyl flooring in the main bathroom. The flooring is completely stuck to the concrete slab. Our question is can we put down ceramic tile over the vinyl flooring or do we have to remove it which will be a difficult job to do? Also, if we can tile over this flooring, do we need to use something other than thinset?
