My husband and I recently purchased an old house for my daughter and her soon to be husband, and we decided to have it remodeled. Just yesterday, we decided to pull up the old tile on the floor and noticed flooring, which I was told was oak. Well, my daughter was looking to put down wood flooring over the tile anyway. But now that we noticed the original flooring, we decided to keep it and find a way to refinish it if possible. We are being told that it will cost more to refinish it, and that we should just recover it with more wood flooring, but the original wood is beautiful. I was wondering if you can give me solution on how I can touch up the wood flooring to look new.

Thank you,

Dorothy Washington

p.s. I watch your show faithfully, and I am a big do-it-yourself kind of person.
