Flooring around bathtub

Posted by Wayne on December 18th, 2001 09:44 AM

The linoleum in the bathroom around the bathtub started to feel spongy and has now started to chip and feel soggy. I thought this might have been from water on the outside standing on the floor. But it is actually a water leak inside the wall of the shower plumbing and is dripping onto the floor under the tub.
I have a crawl space under the house and the wood is rotting around the tub. What is the best way to replace this wood flooring without compromising the tubs stability? It is a heavy porcelain tub. We are going to replace the linoleum after anyway. Thanks for your responses.
