floor finishes

Like one of the respondents,I have a relatively recent finish where the coats were applied too quickly and unevenly. We installed a pre-finished, off-white wood laminate floor and had an additional finish installed. The post-installation finish has bubbles, is yellowing and has actually worn down to the original finish in some spots. The floor itself is without any nicks or gouges and I am reluctant to have it sandeed. These laminates don't have all that much wood to sand off. Any non-sanding stripping methods out there? Chemical strippers? How about screening off the finish?
