Floor 'bounce' is caused by floor joists that are too small for their span. ('Too small' meaning: too shallow)

You can remedy the floor bounce without tearing out the ceiling by installing a center beam perpendicular to the direction of the joists half way between the joists and supported on each end by appropriate columns.

This beam will be a permanent visible fixture against the underside of your joists and ceiling.
