Fixing nails on interior walls

I agree with Steve that very loose nails should be removed and replaced, but don't put the new screw into the same hole because the paper on the outside of the drywall has already been dimpled.
To go into the same hole would not give the fastener the optimun holding power it needs to prevent the same thing from happening again. Also, when fixing a "popped" screw, drive the old one further in and drive a new one in about 3" away just to be safe. Happy spackling!
