Fixing A Hardwood Floor ...

Do you have hardwood 'tiles'? Do you mean parquet? Do you mean Pergo? What type of flooring AND what manufacturer do you have? How thick is it? And do you know if it's nailed, stapled, or glued? Do tell us more.

Most flooring can be repaired; some can't. If a REPUTABLE professional says the floor tile/board can be repaired, then there's better than a pretty-good-chance that he's right. If you haven't paid your last 1/3rd for the bill, tell him you're witholding it until you're satisfied that the repair is good. A week or 2 isn't asking a lot.
