There are many cementious materials to build the firebox with,I personally prefer AIR SET REFRACTORY CEMENT,It comes in many brand names , its ease of use and professional results make it the # 1 choice.If you must use fireclay,e-mail me with the particulars of your project and I will send you the specs.Or you can visit my Free Site and check out my resources for masonry!
