Both my brother and sister have Vermont Casting wood stoves and they are excellent. My sister lives in Pueblo, CO and it heats their new addition just fine. My brother lives in Oklahoma and his heats 1/2 their 3000 sq ft home.

I have seen both in operation. Top feed the wood and they do not smoke when the top is opened.

I built a new home in OK with a Rumford masonry fireplace. This Revolutionary Design is supposed to be much more efficient than other wood fireplaces. We built a 42 X 42 for our 3300 sq ft home. The brick is still wet so I have not tried it. I will in two weeks. I know it is May in OK but I want to see it work.

Superior Clay Co. makes the components.
