Fire shooting out of boiler

Posted by Christine on January 19th, 2003 10:29 AM

I have radiant heat with LP gas. I recently replaced the thermocouple on my boiler (it goes out every year). The pilot light stayed lit as it should, but when I turned up the thermostat to get the furnace to kick in, flames shot out past the pilot light and beyond the outside of the boiler. I don't think this has anything to do with the thermocouple, and this is the first time it's been fired up this winter. How do I correct this? It's cold, please help!
