Good point Steve. Weather Best solid out-performed all other products along with SmartDeck in fire testing; while Trex dropped flaming debris and other types faired even worse. This is interesting, because the study was sponsored by a Redwood organization (posted on University of CA Forest Products site below). The fatal flaw is the recycled plastics in Trex are low density polyethylene (48%) while Weatherbest solid contains the highest percentage of wood fiber and only virgin HDPE.
