Finishing a basement

Posted by Con on February 26th, 2003 11:41 AM

I have an unfinished basement (cinder block)
which has windows and a sliding glass door
set into the cinder block.

I'd like to put up dry-wall. I'm assuming that
on the wall which has the windows and door,
that I will need to frame out the walls using

I was planning to use 2x4's for studs, but realized that if I did, the framing around the
windows and door would need to somehow be
compensated for because of the 2x4's.

Has anyone done soemthing like this before?
If so, what's the best approach? Is there a
better way to do this?

Thanks in advance!
