Did you fill in your swimming pool or repair it? We had an in-ground pool installed 15 years ago. What an expensive mistake! This is the 3rd summer in a row that we haven't opened it. The kids are grown and the last few years we weren't using it much. It's expensive and time-consuming to open and maintain it. This year we had scheduled a pool service to open it on June 7th. When the didn't show up, I called and they said because of much rainy weather, they were behind schedule and would call when they were coming out. Several weeks went by. When I called again, the owner said all his guys were taking vacations now and he wouldn't be able to do this job! Could it be that bad? They opened it once before with a portable filter of their own (ours is too old and small and couldn't handle this job). My husband thinks it would be very expensive to have it filled in, but I think the cost is less than maintaining the pool. Opinions and info on filling in the pool would be greatly appreciated!
