I special ordered a Fiberglass Entry Door. It is constructed like a steel door, with Styrofoam inside. I had one of the holes drilled eight inches higher than normal. The dead bolt will be eight inches above the door knob for added strength, in case of a break-in.
Problem: When I got the door home, I noticed the higher hole was drilled through Styrofoam not wood, like the other hole. I would think without a wood support, that dead bolt support will be very weak. I would think with this door being special order, they would of put a wood support where they were going to drill the hole. Is this something I should be concerned about or will the door be just as strong?
