Hi, Ben. Bob doesn't show up here very often so the people that enjoy helping answer for him. Fiber optics are readily available at large lighting wholesalers. Check your phone book. One problem with fiber optics is that you need a really strong light source to provide a small amount of light on the other end and the strong light means that it produces a great amount of heat. The lighting specialty store can work with you to find an installer who is familiar with the heat issues. Personally, I think that you will find other light choices that will be easier to install if you want a significant amount of light.

If you just want a "twinkle" effect, this does not require much light and fiber optics is a good choice. You might also look at the light strips that have small incandescent bulbs and are commonly used on restaurant floors and stairs if that is the effect you are seeking.

Good luck
