I'm going to be putting up a fence in front of my home mainly to deter my kids from running out in the road. I currently have horse (rail-type wood) fencing for our pastures, but was wanting something better looking for in front of the house. I think I prefer the white vinyl picket type fence for this. I'm going to need about 200'.
My biggest concern is about the quality of the vinyl fencing. It appears a good quality vinyl fence is going to run around $4600 for materials. I can buy the same materials at Lowes for about $1500. These numbers both include posts, sections, hardware, and concete. Can the quality be that different? I can't imagine the Lowes would be such low quality that the cost/benefit wouldn't be worth going for the cheaper product. Normally I'm all for buying quality stuff, but this seems rediculous. Am I missing something? Thanks!
