False tread Vs Nosing

False tread caps and landing tread/stair nosing are two different things...
False treads are made of 3/8" plywood and moulding
they are 4 1/2" for inside wall and 5 1/2" for the open side.
Nosing is 3/4" thick with a 1 1/4" X 1" nose on the front and is usually 3 1/2" or 5 1/2" wide and used where 3/4" hardwood is installed.
