Are facia boards function only to cover end grain
of rafter tails and improve the cosmetic
appearance of a home or do they serve an
additional purpose? In particuliar I'm concerned
that if I coat my replacement boards with a
termite repellant then the termites may be
encouraged to find a more critical area of my
home's framework to nibble on.
Is this a legitimate concern or am I being
reactionary?
