I have a large project in Mexico concerning low income housing..I would like any informaion on the pros and cons of using Durock, or Permabase, or Plycem.. We are attempting to simulate concrete block stuctures, in that the Mexican population does not accept hollow sounding walls very well. We have located wall fillers to control the hollow sound of light gauge framed walls. Also the Mexican population likes to kick walls for the sounds of strength..We will be using light gauge steel framing and are looking for the most durable, yet affordable concrete wall board, that will hold up over extended periods of heavy use, The population is not easy on their housing so we are looking at comparisons both finacially but mainly strength to hold up to extended heavy use...any ideas out there...thanks for any help given..Rick Godwin
