I would give TEC (the floor tile adhesive people)a call and ask them what they would recommend.
What are you going to use for a grout? Since the wood is going to expand in 2 directions to a greater degree than most floors, I would think you will need an expansion joint or several to prevent the floor from buckling with the change in weather. That is, unless the grout joint for each tile has "give" built into it.
