My furnance uses to much gas, similar houses with same floor plan use is much less. Furnace since new in my opinion allows excessive heat to escape through the exaust vent, my reasoning the metal housing around the parameter of the top front aproximately 8 inches down abnormaly hot,
When the fuurnace was new it was equiped with a plastic Name plate about 4in by 12in,excessive heat melted it to the point that it fell off.
The Merchant that sold it went out of business the first year I had it.However they sent people out to examine but didn't have any answers, It runs approximately ten minutes cycle time regardless of the temperature has a good blue hot flame,
