Andie, that sounds great; having the pieces precut for you will help, as you mentioned being a "novice" to this; building drawers & stairs are 2 areas that can get pretty technical.

Even when using nails, glue is a must for making solid, long-lasting drawers, so you're on the right track.

Once you know your requirements for your drawer glides, you can easily determine what your drawer's outside dimensions will need to be, and list your cut sizes.

As a rule, your drawer sides (left & right) will be full length, with your ends (front & back)attached between them, so be sure to deduct the thickness of the side material from your overall width when determining the size of your ends.
