Greetings John,

My colonial has a drive under garage and I have divided it at the stairs. Part of it for storage and part of it for a garage.

the amount of room you have to work with will decide what you can do. you want to make sure that run this by your local building official not just for good advice but, to make sure you stay out of trouble.(in more ways than one)

It is not possible to tell how far your garage/basement has been finished off or if you have any interior walls at all? So, I think you need to read up on basic construction projects about remodeling basements.

If I were you, I would go to the Orange store (Home Depot) and look through the big orange book of projects. We don't have a Lowe's here so I don't know what color their book is.

Good luck,
