Equlibrium Moisture Content

Margot, I don't believe that you are on the right track here at all. Did you install the floor before it was dry--either kiln dried or air dried to totally match the moisture content of your house? How do you know that you did?

There is a way to measure this using a moisture meter. These are relatively expensive, over $200 for a meter that is accurate. Did you check your wood?

Let me know more about what you did and how you did it but it really does sound like you have a big problem.
