I read your posting, I have an old home 102 years old. Wiring was added after the house was built, so was plumbing. What I did was, I went to home depot and bought the wire and new breaker box. I went up to the attic and under the house layed the new wire next to the old with a few extra feet, then called the electrician he was pleased to see what was done and saved us alot of money fishing the wire ourselves. The actual connections were made by the electrician. He basicly removed the old and connected the new! The project lasted two days. We also added a few extra plugsin a couple of rooms and a dedicated line for my home office. Good luck to you.
