Durability Oil vs. Water Base Polyurethane Floor Finish?

We have interviewed three floor refinishing contractors. Two use oil based polyurethanes, the other water based. Each has a strong opinion but only the water based guy gives his reasons: quicker drying, less yellowing, minimum odor and easier application than low VOC oil formulations that our state (NJ) requires. If the durability and wear characteristics of water and oil based are similar, it seems water is the way to go. If oil lasts significantly better, then the extra drying time and fumes may be worth it. Cost is not an issue.
Are there any test results or actual experiences I can use to help make my choice?
