Duct tape

Posted by Crys on December 20th, 2002 02:10 PM

Nashua 398 duct tape was used on newly installed commercial grade low pile carpet, to hold some construction paper in place to keep excess traffic from damaging carpet. When the tape was removed it left a sticky residue on the carpet which is attracting dirt and dust leaving a dirty strip where ever the tape was. I have used clear citrus 'goo' remover, denatured alcholo, and carberator cleaner to no avail. I tried laquer thinner but it seems to pull the color on the carpet. (I test tried these on some scraps) Does anyone have an idea where I can go from here? HELP ! !
Thanks Crys
