I had gas installed in my home last year and it was the "snaky" stuff, but there were 2 large metal pipes that go straight up the livingroom wall! It's right next to another area that juts out and possible could just be extended.
What I need help with is how can I square out an extension? I know I'd need some sort of bracket or strapping, but what would I get, and where and how would I mount it. Then I can just cut and somehow mount/seal the drywall to it.
I'm handy, but there are some things I never learned but have a least SOME idea on how to do it :-)
Any words of advise would be appreciated.
The ceiling is about 10 feet to the floor where I must do this, and I have to extend this downwards to the floor, about 2 feet from flush with the already jutting-out area on the right, then bring it back to the real wall on the left with is about 8"
