Help, my home has dry rot around the overhangs of the roof line. My contractor says he has to pull back the roof, remove all the damaged wood, replace and then he can paint. The major issue is that the roof will then have to be replaced because he says we can't re-use the existing composite, and there are at least 3 layers of roof. A friend said there was a chemical which could be used rather then replacement. Any comments on this? I am looking at a $13,000 expense, so I want to be sure I have looked into everything... Manks
