Dry latex paint on crown molding

Just moved into a house and am repainting several rooms with crown molding. In one room it has a light colored paint that the previous owners failed to properly mask. There is quite a bit of stray paint on the bottom edge of the molding. I'm going to put a dark color on the wall and am afraid it will stick out like a sore thumb. How can I get the latex off that molding without messing up the finish? Thanks.
