Lee, there are MANY different manufacturers of faucets and 2 basicly different systems that they use. Delta uses a cartridge that you replace. Most others use washers. The process for replacement of the kind with washers is basically the same for all that use these, but there are many different size components used. You really need to start by giving us info like a manufacturer's name, if you can find one. Descriptions based on the outside and things like handles aren't much good because the outside and handles tend to fit "universal" standards.

One big note is that you will have to turn off the water to do any replacement of inside parts. You might want to find shut-off valves for the hot and cold water sides and turn them off before you do too much looking at the faucets.
