drain alarm

The alarms are triggered by a floating trigger. When it sounds you either have no power going to your pump or your trigger is stuck. One way to check is to dig up the back cap of your last drain tank. You pump will have two plugs, unplug the second one from the first one and watch to see if the water level goes down. This of course make sure you have power out to it first (meaning you have power to the pump). If it goes down and you have power, then your float on your pump is bad or stuck. If you have power and you have nothing, then your pump is bad. That alarm is to warn you when the pump does not function and will therefore create a back up of sewage to the house.
