I just bought a house that is about 90 years old that has a variety of widows throughout the house. Many of these need to be replaced. We also have some insulation problems b/c of the age of the house. We thought that putting in new double paned windows would offer more insulation. Is this true? If so, who is a reputable manufacture and/or dealer? How much should these windows cost? (We got a quote from Sears at about $1,000 per window which seems very pricey.) Your imput would be greatly appreciated.
