Mary, with the age of the door, this will almost certainly need to be a "door only" replacement, if the door jambs are still in good shape. You'll need to purchase a door "slab" (with no pre-cuts for hardware), and have it fitted to your existing frame and hardware locations. You may have to do some hunting on this, as most door slabs today are shorter than the doors of 70 years ago.

If your cool, original hardware is in good shape, it can be used on the new door, too.

You can always opt for a complete new setup, sidelites and all, but in this case it would likely take quite a bit of additional trim work, inside and out, and probably some adjustment of the opening itself, short of having the entire unit custom built. Best of luck!
