Back in May I replaced the dryrotted back door to my house with a solid wood replacement. Since the house is 90 years old, It was impossible to go with the pre-hung option, so I used the existing frame and jamb which are in sound shape. However, the wall/door frame are not plumb. I did level out the door so I could avoid any ghosting, but the result is that the top of the door sticks out a good 1/4" at least from the frame on both sides and the top. Now, given the cold weather, wind literally blows into the kitchen through the opening. What problems will I have if I set the door flush with the frame, thereby having it out of plumb?
