Yes,you have to nail the entire brickmoild before shimming. Set the door in place with you on the side that you can see the hinges. Put a 4' level on the hinges and plumb door and at the same time look at your reveal.Keep the same reveal across the top as you do on the hinge side. Nail hinge side then top. You can now get your reveal on the knob side and nail. Shim the hinge side first. Do not force the shims in so much as to move the door. Now run a 3 or 4" screw through one of the screw holes on each hinge. Do not miss this step. Continue to shim rest of door. Also run a long screw where the striker plate is. This helps hold the door from the force of closing the door. Now install the trim if door is OK. Good-luck , Ron
