In reply to Replacement of cold water inlet valve? by Gary on July 4th, 2001 02:17 PM [Go to top of thread]

Hi Gary,

Did you disconnect the Supply Lines (both while you're at it), and remove the Debris Screen inside? They clog up REAL easy and prevent water from filling the machine.

If the screens are free and clear (be careful not to damage them), then you'll either need a manual or have to take off the back-panel to look inside to see how the valve is 'set'. Personally, I know nothing about Appliances (but have repaired a few of the 'simple' issues' like inlet valves.)

While you're at it, if your hoses are stiff/brittle, it's time to replace them.

My best to ya and hope this helps.
