I have no doubt that your springs need adjustment. However, the previous posts are correct. These torsion springs contain a LOT of energy and adjusment should be done only by someone with the experience and proper tools. Some new torsion springs can be adjusted through a worm drive attached to them, but I doubt that is what you have. These torsion springs have a B10 life of about 5000 cycles, which means that 10 percent of them will fail after 5000 cycles. This life can be extented by lubricating the coils with 80-90 gear lube.
