Decking material

I intend to build a 2 tier type deck. 1st level 10X24 and 2nd level 14X26 for a total of 688 sq ft. I figure approx. 120 2x6x12's. I gather from past messages there are not many fans of the Trek composite wood but rather most lean towards the wolmanized treated wood. Why is there no talk about Redwood anymore? Is it just an outdated wood to build a deck... to much maint or expense? Using the wolmanized wood is there a need to seal and if so how soon. Is there a prescribed drying time on the PT wood? Like most folks my main concerns are cost, longevity, and maint time. So using that for criteria what is the best deck material? Another issue is the deck will be exposed to freeze-thaw and will see a shovel for snow removal.
Appreciate the help, Bruce
