Hi, Eden. It would help to know about how far down you have to go from the deck to the ground. If it is just a couple of steps, you can run 2 stringers out from each side then put the decking over half the width of the stringer outside the corner you formed. Then fill in the angle with decking that rests on the other half of the 2 stringers that form the new inside corner. This is a heck of a lot harder to describe than to draw out so I hope you get my meaning. I would think that a 30" total rise is about as much as you could cover by this method so that's why the rise is important.
