Steve, as I understand what you are asking, and I am not sure I do, you want something to serve as a roof and a porch. I don't know of anything that will work. But I think a real roof over this would be a big help. There is a formed wood and glue material called, I believe, Trax, or something like that. The way it is formed it has a tongue and groove joint between the boards. This is not a tight enough joint to keep all the water from running thru the joint, but should be some help if this deck has enough pitch to keep most of the water going over the side. You might check this out.
